Go-To Meal: Mango Salsa Chicken

Happy Monday y'all :)  As I mentioned on Facebook this weekend - (are you a fan yet?  If not you should be! Click here.) I spent a lot of time writing a guest post for a friend about my struggle to get pregnant.  I poured a lot of myself into the post, and I can't wait to share it with you later in the week. ... Forget the Bread, Make the Muffins!

People have been pinning my Greek Yogurt Strawberry Banana Bread and the Blueberry version like crazy.  Then, Chobani posted the Cinnamon Apple version on their Facebook page and things got even wilder!!  Welcome to all my new readers recently added from Chobani :) I'm so glad you're here!!  A few readers asked me how these breads ... Guest Post - Oatmeal After Spinning!

I mentioned awhile back that I wanted to do a couple new fun things with the blog - and one of those is to bring some outside perspectives (every once in awhile) on what others believe to be the essentials for a happy healthy life.  Afterall, that's the goal of this blog!!  I am soooooo excited to bring this first post in the series to you, from my blogger friend Lauren.  I haven't been in this "blogosphere" very long, but from the first moment I "met" Lauren, she was such an encouraging friend.  This weekend at the upcoming BLEND Retreat, we'll be hanging out for reals, taking bootcamp ... Almost {Wordless Weekend}

This weekend was jam-packed full of of living: Hanging out with the fam, creating yummy meals, exploring the mountains, etc...  It was soooooooo jam-packed, that I just got home after 10PM, ran a load of dishes, quickly cleaned out the car, and am trying to get a quick blog post up.  I may be paying for this tomorrow!!  Oh.My.Goodness - you wouldn't believe the mess we can make in just a half day excursion!!  The joys of toddler parenthood I suppose.  Our trip did include crayons and a coloring book in the carseat, about a billion snacks, about half of which ended up on the ... Greek Yogurt Strawberry Banana Bread

I shared my recipe for Greek Yogurt Blueberry Banana Bread a few weeks ago, and it was an instant hit with YOU, my readers.  Some of you have made it multiple times already; it's been pinned and repinned more than I can count on Pinterest, and is one of my most popular recipes.  Well, one of my readers asked about making a strawberry version last week because she was out of blueberries... ... Roly Poly Amazement + {Veggie Garden Juice}

OK, first a confession.  I woke up in kind of a bad mood.  Which should be illegal on Saturdays.  I don't really know WHY I was in a bad mood, I just wasn't feeling particularly happy or excited about the day.  But, then I put on some tunes and danced in the living room with Babycakes to my favorite song... and all was well with my world again.  She and I played with markers, ie. ... Reboot Part 3: Grocery List & Menu

First, a picture of my loves: dear hubby and Babycakes being silly together.  Awwwww.  Well, let me tell you this - I am VERY excited about cherries and apples and bell peppers and tomatoes and carrots tomorrow!  I don't know how some people do the juicing for SIXTY days!!  Wowsers.  So, as you know, I'm heading into the final phase of the Reboot today.  Days 11 - 15 are similar to Days 1 - 5: a combination of eating limited fruits/veggies plus some juicing.  I do want to mention here that the "exit strategy" is sooooooooo important!!  Your body has been "resting" over the last 10 days, "re ... Eating is Social + {Reboot Sunset Juice}

OK, officially I'm on Day 9 (of 15)...more than halfway there!  Overall I've felt pretty good during this Reboot...better than the first time I did it, I think because my body is already "rebooted"...the sugar craving was already dead before I started.  One thing you'll notice though, if you ever do a Reboot of your own, is how SOCIAL eating is.  Everytime family gets together, it's to share a big meal.  If you're meeting up with a girlfriend, you'll often go out for drinks and appetizers.  If you want to do something special with your spouse, often you'll ... 50+ lbs lost with No Counting: Calories or Points

Did you know I've lost 50+ pounds without counting? No counting daily calories. No counting points - activity or food related. No counting # of meals or # of fruits/veggies. No COUNTING.  Though I was a math major in college and am currently teaching Babycakes to count (She's really good with "one two" and "eight nine"), I have never found it very manageable in my daily life to count calories.  First of all, it's super tedious. ... Inside MY Fridge + {Blueberry Banana Bread}

Check out my interview with Inside the Fridge's Robin Plotkin, where she asks me questions about my shopping and food habits, coveted fridge items, convenience products, meal prep, and more.  And take a peek in my ACTUAL fridge.  I can already tell you there's a few things I wish you couldn't see (ha!) like the creme brulee creamer, miracle whip, and butter :)  I promise, they hardly get touched!

And if you leave me some love over on the Inside the Fridge Blog, I'll be forever grateful! ... Read more » about Inside MY Fridge + {Blueberry Banana Bread}
