{Peanut Butter & Jelly Pancakes}

Remember Lauren, from Oatmeal after Spinning, who shared this week about 3 essentials to a happy healthy life?  Well, I had the honor of doing a post for her blog which went live yesterday!  By the time you read this, she and I will have had many an hour to chat in real life, photograph our food together (ha!), and just relax at the Blend Retreat in beautiful Boulder, CO.   This weekend, this break, is really exactly what I needed.  So if you didn't get a chance to see the post on her site yesterday, pleas ... Greek Yogurt Orange Cranberry Clove Bread...DELISH!

This is a bit of an anticipated recipe post - as I made this delicious bread like 3 days ago.  But life has gotten in the way a bit.  Like I said yesterday, when I said "no," work has been absolutely crazy: the hardest most stressful week in 3 years.  Even tonight I found myself working on my laptop rather than blogging.  Yuck!!  On top of that I picked up a sick Babycakes from school today.  When it rains, it pours.   She was so sweet and miserable tonight.  I really hope she feels A HECK OF A LOT better by ... I said no

I took advice from a fellow healthy living blogger, Lindsay (who I am going to meet this weekend!!!) and "said no."  And it felt really good.  This has been the busiest week at work for me in the last three 3 years.  I am working a ton of hours and just trying not to drown daily.  I am constantly having to reprioritize - and honestly, it's DRAINING.  For the couple of hours that I do have before I start again tomorrow, I am choosing to spend it with dear hubby.  Well, as soon as I stop typing.  See you tomorrow with the ... Guest Post - Oatmeal After Spinning!

I mentioned awhile back that I wanted to do a couple new fun things with the blog - and one of those is to bring some outside perspectives (every once in awhile) on what others believe to be the essentials for a happy healthy life.  Afterall, that's the goal of this blog!!  I am soooooo excited to bring this first post in the series to you, from my blogger friend Lauren.  I haven't been in this "blogosphere" very long, but from the first moment I "met" Lauren, she was such an encouraging friend.  This weekend at the upcoming BLEND Retreat, we'll be hanging out for reals, taking bootcamp ... Friday Tradition + {Beer Crust Pizza}

Pizza is my hubby's favorite food.  If there was only one food left in the world, he'd want it to be pizza.  He's not what I'd call an "emotional eater."  Most of the time, he'd probably be ok with just taking a "food pill" instead of eating, if it saved him time.  BUT, pizza literally makes him happy.  If he's had a hard week (which he often does lately) the stresses slowly melt away as he takes a few bites.  It's like a signal that he can start relaxing.  The weekend has arrived.  So what better way to embrace this desire (need) than to officially declare ... Almost {Wordless Weekend}

This weekend was jam-packed full of of living: Hanging out with the fam, creating yummy meals, exploring the mountains, etc...  It was soooooooo jam-packed, that I just got home after 10PM, ran a load of dishes, quickly cleaned out the car, and am trying to get a quick blog post up.  I may be paying for this tomorrow!!  Oh.My.Goodness - you wouldn't believe the mess we can make in just a half day excursion!!  The joys of toddler parenthood I suppose.  Our trip did include crayons and a coloring book in the carseat, about a billion snacks, about half of which ended up on the ... {Twisted Watermelon Juice} with Grey Goose

I took the night off last night, to enjoy time with dear hubby.  We had drinks on the patio as we watched the sun set, peering into each other's eyes, remembering why we had first fallen in love oh those many years ago.  OK, it wasn't quite as Titantic-esque as I'm describing, but it sure was a nice break from the regular fast pace of weekday nights!  We were on the patio.  We did have alcoholic beverages.  And we were together, listening to one another, and just being a couple...  ... {Creamy Lemon Chicken Pasta w/Greek Yogurt}

Why, hello there!  I am excited to finally have a new recipe to share with you...it's been awhile :)  The whole juice only, no eating, no cooking thing really put a damper on my recipe posting frequency!  So in honor of Chobani GIVEAWAY week, I am going to feature a couple of different Greek Yogurt based dishes.   If you haven't tried my Greek Yogurt Blueberry Banana Bread yet, you sooooooooo should!!  Some of my readers have already mad ... Google Searches: if you look, you will find

So you may or may not know this, but Google KNOWS.  Google knows what you search for and reports that data back to website owners.  It also follows where you click from one site to another, documenting your path.  It's actually kindof eerie how MUCH they know!!  So everyday I get a list of all the search words/phrases/gibberish that people searched for on Google who then ended up at my blog.  Most are normal, "no sugar sweet life" or "no sugar blog" or "no sugar recipes" etc... ...
