{Peanut Butter & Jelly Smoothie} - HLTT7

I ate a LOT of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as a kid.  And peanut butter and honey. And peanut butter and banana. To this day, I still love peanut butter. Like reallllllllllly love it!  There was a study released right after I got pregnant with Babycakes that said eating peanut butter while pregnant was bad and that it could contribute to allergies in children after they were born. I'm serious, giving up peanut butter for nine months was one of the hardest things I'd ever done! I didn't miss the coffee. Or the sushi. But the PEANUT BUTTER?!?!?!?!?!?! You better believe I was digging in to a jar with a big spoon shortly after we came home from the hospital!

Introducing this week's Healthy Living Thirsty Thursday:

{PB&J Smoothie}

Incredibly high in protein and calcium, this smoothie delivers a heavy nutritional punch.  It features Chobani Strawberry/Banana Greek Yogurt, almond milk, and flax-enhanced peanut butter.

It has all the comfort and creaminess of a traditional pb&j, without the bread.

Or you could try my Peanut Butter & Jelly Pancakes, if you're in the mood for using a fork.

Question:

  • Which childhood favorites do you still enjoy as an adult?
