{Twisted Watermelon Juice} with Grey Goose

I took the night off last night, to enjoy time with dear hubby.  We had drinks on the patio as we watched the sun set, peering into each other's eyes, remembering why we had first fallen in love oh those many years ago.  OK, it wasn't quite as Titantic-esque as I'm describing, but it sure was a nice break from the regular fast pace of weekday nights!  We were on the patio.  We did have alcoholic beverages.  And we were together, listening to one another, and just being a couple...

Introducing Twisted Watermelon Juice:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 a watermelon, cut into large chunks
  • 3 cucumbers
  • 2 limes
  • (if you want it "sweeter" add 2 apples)

Directions:

  1. Juice aforementioned ingredients.
  2. Add about 6 - 8 ice cubes to a glass
  3. Add 1oz (or more) of Grey Goose Vodka
  4. Pour in juice
  5. ENJOY!!

Yields ~ 40 ounces

And here's our drinks out on the patio.  Note - hubby didn't drink his because it wasn't sweet enough (hence my note above to add 2 apples IF you like your drinks sweeter).  I, on the other hand, LOVE unsweet, bitter drinks (like tea) and this was a perfect blend for me with a hint of sweet watermelon.  I love that everything is getting so green in Colorado!!  Yay spring!!

FYI, it's already been one of "those" mornings.  First thing as I got into the office, I spilled my raisin/pumpkin seed/sesame seed mix all over the floor.  Maybe too much Grey Goose last night?  No!!  Just me being my clumsy self:

Once THAT mess was cleaned up, I refilled another cup with the nut/seed mix and made it safely to my desk to enjoy this: (Blueberry Chobani with nut/seed mix topping).  It was delish!!

Questions:

  • How do you relax on weekday nights?
  • Are you clumsy like I am?  Examples?!??!
