A Holiday Must: {Elf Juice}

The Holiday season is in full swing, and with it comes a full range of emotions, especially when it comes to eating, weight, and guilt. I am so excited that the #elf4health holiday challenge started yesterday and that above all else, I am going to at least be mindful of my health during this season.  And I'll have an elf buddy to help motivate me and keep me accountable.  Perfect! FOR ME, I find it's easier for me to focus and lose consistent weight when I cut out dairy....milk, cheese, and yogurt...sooooooooo for the next 6 weeks or so I'll be going dairy-free. But as you know, Chobani has a special place in my heart and tummy, so I'll be reintroducing it back into my diet come January. I'll also be juicing more veggies, eating smaller portions, and limiting sugar.

Introducing Elf Juice:

This green beauty is a Holiday "Must"!! So cute, so yummy, so healthy. Serve it at your upcoming holiday party with an "Elf Juice" placard, to your family whilst decorating the house, or to Santa's elves alongside the traditional milk and cookies.

Filled with broccoli, spinach, kale, swiss chard, green bell pepper, granny smith apples, and lime... you will be shocked at how sweet and smooth this juice really is!

Having this green juice every once in awhile during the Holiday season will keep your body feeling fresh, light, and cleansed.

broccoli in juice?! i don't know if i'm that brave!

Lindsay- as I said, it is surprisingly sweet and smooth. I am honestly still in disbelief myself that it was so good even with 2 heads of broccoli, kale, spinach, green pepper, etc... All the more reason to whip some up and drink it!!!

If I don't have a juicer, can I still make this in my blender? Thank you so much for posting! I have been meaning to up my iron intake and drinking my spinach is a perfect option!!

You could "try"... but, I doubt it would be very good blended... as the broccoli "pulp" has such a strong flavor/smell. When I first started juicing, I bought a $29.99 juicer from Walmart (Black and Decker). It was better than nothing and I used it almost daily for a month. Once I knew it was a habit I would be continuing, I upgraded to my Breville Compact Juice Fountain, that was on sale at Amazon for $99.

You're right... brocolli pulp doesn't sound all that appealing!! :(

I have cut dairy from my diet for a number of reasons, and I am having major withdrawal from my beloved Chobani. I may just have to ignore the dairy rule once a day to get in my blood orange or pineapple Chobani. Thanks for the recipe, I can't wait to try it.

Elf. Juice sounds delish...I will try it

I knew I should've asked for a juicer for Christmas! This sounds yummy. I like the premade green juices, but not their price tag, so this is right up my alley.

I started juicing with a cheap Black and Decker juicer from Walmart! It was only $29. Then, when Dear Hubby saw I was serious about this whole juicing "thing" he bought me a nice Breville for my birthday. I got the compact juice fountain by Breville, and at the time it was on sale at Amazon for only $99 (instead of the regular $179). I bet they'll have a deal at Christmas too, so you could add it to your list :)

It's an appealing color unlike a lot of green smoothies, and the sequins and ornaments look great with it in your photo! Talk about healthy holidays, I think you've got that handled!

I agree, the green color was very vibrant!! I was tempted to use an orange bell pepper, rather than green, since that's what I normally juice. But I didn't want it messing up the green color so I used a green pepper. And it tasted wonderful too!!!

Just made this tonight and it is yummy! Keep the new juicing recipes coming!

Elf juice sounds like it would be really yummy, if I can get up the nerve to juice broccoli! I love kale too, and I'm always looking for new recipes to try it! Let me suggest rinsing your veggies and fruits with Kangen water! Since I've joined the Kangen team, I've been using it for EVERYTHING and when I rinse food with it, I find the food has a ton more flavor!

Made the Elf Juice this evening and it is very good. Surprisingly sweet like you said. I will be adding this to my list of approved juices! Thanks again!

I just got a juicer! I am eager to try it.

Hi Kelly, thank you so much for this recipe. Have been juicing on and off for some years now but never succeeded to have my youngest vegetable hating nine year old drink any other than banana smoothies without greens but today! He drank two glasses! I am so happy! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

You're so welcome!! I'm so glad that your 9 yr old loved it :) That's so awesome!
