Healthy Living Thirsty Thursday: {Peach Pie Juice}

So as I mentioned in last week's juice recipe round-up post, I am launching a new thing on the blog called "Healthy Living Thirsty Thursday." No longer is Thirsty Thursday set aside for college males to down as much cheap beer as humanly possible. No. It is being redeemed by the healthy living community! I will share a new juice, smoothie, or cocktail recipe each Thursday from this day forward :) And hopefully, I will get some other bloggers on board and excited about the idea too, so we can have one big link-up party each week at the bottom of this post!
I even created a little logo:

And a hashtag for Twitter: #hltt (!!!)
So for this week's Healthy Living Thirsty Thursday, I am excited to bring to you an amazingly sweet, healthy, vitamin-rich juice that I'm calling {Peach Pie Juice}. It seriously does taste like eating pie, and I'm not just saying that because I haven't had pie in a few months!!
The ingredients:

I had been thinking of a sweet potato based juice all week, and then I saw these glorious peaches at the store calling my name. Oh, and the cute straws called my name too!!

Then I couldn't get pie out of my head; so I went with it and indulged in the extra creaminess of this particular combo of fruits/veggies and topped it with sprinkled cinnamon!

Chocked full of Vitamins A & E, this juice is nutrient-rich whilst feeling like a decadent treat! Oh, and it's Dear Hubby approved, liked, and finished!!

Questions:
- Any fruit/veggie you'd like to see featured in next week's drink?
- Bloggers, anyone interested in joining in next week for Healthy Living Thirsty Thursday?

Wish...
I had a juicer. Sounds delicious! Pinned. :D
as low as $30
I started with a cheap $29.99 Black and Decker juicer from Walmart. Then after about 2 months upgraded to a Breville, once I knew I'd be juicing fairly frequently :)
Yum!
Been thinking about getting a juicer - this is definitely another nudge in that direction!

Breville
I use (and love) the Breville Juice Fountain, compact. Mostly because of the price. Sometimes it's on sale at Amazon for only $99! (which it is currently: http://www.amazon.com/Breville-BJE200XL-Fountain-700-Watt-Extractor/dp/B...) Othertimes it's $179.
peaches!
I haven't used that combination of fruits in a drink--sounds delicious! I'd be up for submitting a smoothie recipe for Thirsty Thursday--let me know!
Thirsty Thursday
Hi Michelle - so that would be wonderful! All you do is copy the logo from the post above, then next Thursday, you write a post with a juice or smoothie recipe on your own blog and link back to my site (www.nosugarsweetlife.com) with a copy of the logo. Email me when it's live, and I will add YOUR blog's link to the bottom of my post. I am working on making it even easier in the future, but for now, that's what you would do. If you have any questions, just email me! :)
Looks good. I love sweet
Looks good. I love sweet potato juice-I add sweet potato to my root veggies cocktail (carrots & turnips too). They are surprisingly very "juicable".
Totally!
I was so surprised too! The sweet potatoes alone made 20 ounces of juice!
you know I'm in.
great idea!
thanks, love :)
Can't wait to see your yummy juice or smoothie or cocktail :)
Mind Blown
I didn't know a sweet potato could be juiced!! Mind Blown!!
I know!
AND they're super juicy!! 3 large sweet potatoes made 20 ounces of juice!!!
You are full of so many
You are full of so many amazing ideas, love :) You can count on ME to participate FOR SURE ;)

Yay!!
Thanks for being so supportive!
Millions of peaches...
...peaches for me! [Do you remember that song? Maybe?]
I tried once to be a juicer and failed. I have yet to try and be a smoothie-r. Does it count if I make citrus avocado dressing and drink that? :)
LOVE the logo...and perhaps I'll try and come up with something for you next week. To be honest, I never think about making delicious drinks since I'm so focused on the food, but this is a good reason to try.
For you...
For you, Sarah, we could maybe extend it to "purees" :) I want to drink some of your citrus avocado dressing... seriously, that sounds delish!! And of course I remember that song :)
I love the new logo!! This is
I love the new logo!! This is my favorite-looking juice so far!!! I am loving peaches!
Thanks, Corrie Anne!
I spent some real time beautifying the setting and presentation :) I'm glad you noticed!

What a great idea. Do you think you could serve it to me next thursday too? hehe
Hi there! I would love to
Hi there! I would love to submit a drink for next week's Thirsty Thursday! Just let me know when you'd like it by!
Thanks :)
just saw this :(
So you just write a post about a juice, smoothie, or cocktail recipe on your own blog, and introduce the post with the Healthy Living Thirsty Thursday logo (you can find the code in my sidebar). Then on my own HLTT post each Thursday, you submit your post's url via inlinkz (you can see an example here of this week's: http://nosugarsweetlife.com/content/big-announcement-pink-leopard-cockta...) If you have any questions, just email me! I'd love to have you join next week. :)
OMG
This looks AMAZING. I was reading a post on Calee's (chimes) blog and saw the subject line of this post attached to your comment and bopped on over. (Um, peach pie? Yes please).
I don't have a juicer and I'm not sure I'd use it enough to justify buying one... is it possible to use a food processor or blender instead and get a similar result, or should I just go to Walmart and buy the cheapest one I can find?
hi Kelly!
For this juice, I would definitely suggest a juicer. Mostly for the smooth creamy taste - rather than thick/foamy/smoothie-ish. I started with a $29.99 Black and Decker juicer from Walmart. Used it for about 2 months before I upgraded. I now use a Breville Juice Fountain, compact...which sometimes goes on sale on Amazon for $99. I just checked tonight and it is: http://nosugarsweetlife.com/content/big-announcement-pink-leopard-cockta...

That's Russian for beet! I'm officially voting for a beet-based juice on a Thirsty Thursday! Bring on that red goodness!
Granted
Your wish has been granted :) Well, mostly. I found these amazing GOLDEN beets at the market today. So I'll be using those in next week's juice.
I don't have a juicer but I'm
I don't have a juicer but I'm totally passing this on to my friend who does, hoping she'll make it for me.
I love it!
Put that friend to work :) It's worth it!!
Peach Pie Perfection!!
Finally tried this....amazing!!! You really outdid yourself this time! Bravo!! :)
Am I crazy to try this with fresh pumpkin? Or perhaps roast it first, what do you think? ....hmmm
Never juiced pumpkin
It sounds good - pumpkin pie juice, right? But I've never juiced pumpkin before so I don't know how it'd turn out. I don't think straight pumpkin would be as sweet as peaches, so you might need to add an extra apple or two for sweetness. Let me know if you try it!!!
Absolutely Outstanding!
I LOVED this juice! Never have tried anything like it. Even my picky 9 year old loved it! Thank you for sharing - I will definitely make this regularly!
Wonderful!!
Peach Pie Juice
How many calories does the Peach Pie Juice contain?
Not sure
YUM!
I never knew sweet potatoes could make so much juice! This was delicious!! My 7-year old even drank 2 glasses!! Thanks again for all these fabulous recipes... my fave is Reese's Spinach Smoothie... for now :)
